Gamepad with two analog sticks

Sat Mar 26, 2005 3:02 am

Is it possible to do a play call such as Pick And Roll, Basket Cut, etc. when using a gamepad? Or is this damn game all about having a pad with two analog sticks?

Is it only possible to call plays and, in the slam dunk contest, to toss the ball into the air with a gamepad that doesn't have two analog sticks? If not, this game is really lame...

Dude, a good controller with 2 analog sticks on it is about $20. If you game alot, and use your controller alot, why not just invest in a good peice of equipment?

I recommend, from personal use, the NYKO AIRFLO EX controller. It has 13 buttons, 2 sticks, and internal fans to keep your hands cool. Great grip on it as well. When I bought it last November it was $24 at BestBuy.

But, yeah, NBA Live has pretty much required a PS2-type controller for a few versions now. I use to have a Gravis GamePad Pro that I played Live 2000 with, and it was a nightmare.

I use a Logitech Dual action gamepad, 20$ at Best Buy. I've been using it for 2 years and its great.
