in game resolution problem

Whenever i play a multiplayer game (over lan) with a friend, both of our resolutions change to 640x480 at the start of the game. This happens automatically without us changing it in the menus. Normally i play at 1024x768 with no problems, and when i quit multiplayer the resolution goes back to normal.

Anyone know what would be causing this or how it can be fixed?

Also another problem with lan play i'm having is lag. I'm playing on a 100mbit network and the server is a fast computer, so why should i be getting any lag at all?

i've always had lag on nba live online, that why I just gave up playing it online. dunno about the graphics though.

yeh it's not a huge amount of lag but still noticable enough to be annoying. does anyone else get lag when playing over a lan? i can understand lag if playing online, but there shouldn't be any over a 100mbit lan...

not that i actually play multiplayer at the moment due to the stuffed up resolution...
