Talk about NBA Live 2005 here.

I have LIVE 05 for my xbox and I really want to play an inside-out sort of game, but am having problems.
I've been playing with Jabaar and the 90's Karl Malone and other players and I cannot seem to be able to get any consistent low-post game.
The little baby hooks and fadeaways seem to fall at like 25% which is rediculous for this level of player.
I don't want to just face-up, pro-hop and dunk. I want to try to play real basketball here.
Anybody have any tips, suggesitons what I'm doing wrong?

I forgot to add, any type of simple pull-up jumper gets blocked most of the time as well. It's pretty frustrating.
I don't want to play a face-up drive and dunk style of play.

In the low post i usually spin out of the back-down and attempt a layup, i don't use the hop much.
For Karl Malone it would be most accurate to run a pick & roll play. This is also a good way to free up your ball handler for a jump shot.
Just jump shooting 1 on 1 isn't too effective. Waiting until you hip-check your defender away from you to create some space and using a fade away will prevent you from getting blocked, but it will also reduce your accuracy.
I'm surprised you can simply just run Karl Malone into the paint and just dunk over defenders? Doesn't happen for me.

Low-post is sometimes hard on all-star and superstar because they too often miss shots or get blocked when they shouldn't. I turn my short range shooting up bout 5 points.
The best shot to go for I find is the one-handed jumper(sometimes two-hand). For some strange reason hooks are easily blocked. I usually like to post up bout halfway between the baseline and freethrow line with the players dribbling hand on the same side as the free throw line and spin baseline for a short one-handed or two-handed jumper. I think if you back down and press up it spins to baseline. It's kinda hard to complete emulate how each player plays in real life and you end up playing with everyone the same way.
I really don't use the head fake move often and I haven't tried spinning into a layup. I might try it.
