the cpu doesn't try to block shots

Postby mademan02 on Tue Mar 08, 2005 1:13 pm

Hello,
Whenever I play superstar mode in NBA Live 2005 the cpu on my team doesn't even try to block shot. They just stand there looking like idiots while the other team scores on them. It only happens in superstar mode. It works fine in all the other modes. Can some help fix this problems?
Thanks

Not much you can do, except switching players a little more on D. Part of the challenge on the harder difficulty levels is that your teammates don't work hard enough, you really have to make things happen yourself.

Are you sure just on superstar? In all-star sometimes my defense cpu just stand around like idiots and let the cpu shoot with ease.

It's easy to be brave from a safe distance, so go nuts.

Well, it's how they've programmed it to be on the two harder difficulty levels. Whether or not it's a good idea is a matter of opinion. :)

I never noticed it in all-star. I guess they don't do it that much.Thank guys for the feedback.
Now I can play Nba Live in peace.

Seems to be like it has nothing to do with difficulty. It's all EA. For the last 5 or 6 years I can remember most EA games I've played having CPU teammates who don't do what they should or as much as entire CPU teams, and you have to do too much of the work and control yourself

It's much more of an issue on the hardest difficulty level though.
