Practice mode difficulty

What is the difficulty setting in practice mode?
If I remember correctly, in Live 2004 you could lock the difficulty setting to a player profile (now gone in 2k5) or keep it default. And I also remember it made a big difference (default/superstar).
It seems to me, that in 2k5 the practice mode is locked on some low difficulty level (rookie/starter) which makes it rather useless for practising jump shots and then playing all-star/superstar.
Or is there some mysterious way to choose practice difficulty settings?

The difficulty in Practice Mode is the same as your current setting for Exhibition (Play Now) Mode.
