Amare/Celtics

What are the most accurate stats for Amare right now? And why are the Celtics so good in dynasty mode? I don't even think they have a winning record right now in the actual NBA. Anybody's stats need adjusting on that team?

Since I've gone through all the players and changed a lot of ratings, I might have addressed that problem (though I don't like to change ratings just to increase or decrease a team's overall rating, it's really easy to mess up individual player ratings that way). I'll double-check that though, to make sure there aren't any overrated players in Boston.

I've given Amare quite a boost so far, I feel his ratings are now pretty accurate but I will of course double-check that too.

I was just about to say the same. They have him rated way to high.

I'll definitely review his ratings again. (Y)

You need to put some of the rookie/inexperienced Celtics players down to 55 and below.

I am pretty sure Andrew stated that he does not change players ratings to adjust the overall value.

I don't, but I have made changes to some of the rookies that has lowered their overall ratings. For the most part, I feel rookies don't deserve top awareness ratings so that does bump their overall down a little. I don't like to change ratings just to affect the overall rating for players or teams, but it does happen (and has happened in this update).

On hte subject of Amare... I got the chance to see a Suns game on TV for the first time this season - I was really keen to see how Amare scores his points.....he had a poor games by this season's standards, but a few things seemed obvious:

- he can dunk on just about anyone inside....I think his ratings are right up there with the best in this area (Y)

- Nash obviously has a big impact in moving the ball fast....and Amare runs the court like a SF (along with the rest of the team)....his speed is 62....hmmm - suppose thats ok for a big guy.....maybe could be a little higher.

- HOWEVER - the thing that I think stood out was the way Amare just dribbles past his opponent from a standing start....he just blows by them!!!....I think he has really improved his ball handling and dribbling....now he's no PG, but for a big fella, he's really taking ppl on by putting the ball on the floor....his dribbling rating is 35 (booooo) - I reckon he needs at least mid 40's....other PF dribble ratings: boozer = 46, kwame brown = 48, duncan = 46, jermaine o'neal = 46.

As for the rest of the Suns....man these guys just run the pants off the opposition....even Steven Hunter looks good running with the rest of the Suns....the suck the entire opposition team in with 1 or 2 running hard to the basket and then have 4 guys who can prop and hit a open 3 at will.... 8-)
