Game won't load, please help!

My NBA Live Pc 2005 doesn't load. I installed it and updated the graphics and display drivers on my computer. When I click on the desktop icon, it loads a picture of carmelo anthony, then it shows a black screen for about 5 seconds then goes back to the desktop. What is the problem?

Have u been patching or anything?
Maybe its your Video Card. Maybe its just not supported or doesnt work or something.

Have you had the game up and running before now?
Ive just got live 05 on the pc played it then patched it abit and the same thing happened to me too.
If you have been playing already then try taking off the last few patchs you put on.
