Video Card FX5200 or GeForce 4 MX440?

Tue Nov 16, 2004 6:28 pm

Guys, I really need your help. I'm not planning to buy a high-end video adapter. I just want a card that can display the most decent detail settings in NBA Live 2005.

Please just choose between the two. If you were to buy between these two cards ONLY, which would you choose:

Inno3D GeForce FX5200 64MB 64BIT DDR or
Inno3D GeForce 4 MX440 128MB 64BIT DDR
:?: :?: :?:

Which one could display the best detail settings?

Please don't recommend me other video cards. These are the only ones availabe locally that fits my budget.

Thanks.

My specs:

Athlon XP 1.33GHz Palomino(passed NBA Live 2005 requirements)
256MB DDR SDRAM PC2100 (barely passed)
80GB Seagate Barracuda IV 7200 rpm
WIN XP PRO SP2 (passed)
DIRECTX 9.0c
SPEED DUAL ANALOG GAME PAD

@ bobcats: What kind of specs do you have, because I have a GeForce FX 5200 as well. I was hoping it will run it ok since I am getting it today. Thanks!

If given those two, I'd probably go with the FX.

That said, you might want to check online on somewhere like Newegg.com to see if the same money you're looking to spend in a store can get you more online (it probably can).
