MY COMPUTER, FAST, ALOT OF RAM, GEFORCE TROUBLE RUNNING 2005

please help.

i got an

amd 1.4 ghz
512 megs of ddr ram
40 gig hd
geforce 2 mx 400 64 meg vid card
ASUS a7a266 motherboard
windows xp professional

BUT

i cant run nba live 2005 in the 5 on 5. it is so damn slow that i cant even really exit the game. i put the display on the lowest possible settings and it was still running like rubbish.

any suggestions?
i meet beyond the recommended to run this game. i got no idea what to do. please help.

as far as i know i have.

i read that other guy used the same card and he has it running fine.

update all your drivers: mobo, graph.card, sound chip, directX.

i think thats some VGA I have.

Just put it on Customized Lowest. Lower Resolution also. im ony 1024 x 7 Desktop Resolution and i have to be on 8x 6 in Game or my game will feel like its lagging .

Also dont have anything else running in the back ground. AIM , MSN , Yhaoo, All messengers runing at same time... Im not totally sure. Jut some suggestions.

I don't mean to be rude, but your video card is very, very weak. That's probably the biggest source of your problems. It wasn't designed for 3D games (the "MX" line is less powerful and is for workstation computers generally), and probably has the power of a top-of-the-line card from about 1998. Your CPU isn't great by any means but it's managable. You'll definitely need to upgrade your video card to ~Radeon 9600 (regular or Pro, not SE) if you want it to be playable at a decent resolution.

It's amazing how short the life span of computers are these days.
