Are there cheese people online on NBA Live 2005?

Postby Peoples_Champ on Wed Dec 08, 2004 8:50 am

Do people online on NBA Live 2005 use cheap tactics to "cheat" games?
Want to make this short...
I have NBA 2k5 and people seem to inbound the ball to underneath the player of the basket for a easy bucket which is cheap because there is no way of block or stealing the shot when this happens. They also inbound the ball all the way down the court which is also cheap and unrealistic. Oh yeah, the low post key shooting percentages are way too high and so are the 3 point percentages even on Hall of Fame (hardest level).

Yes, definitely, there are a lot of cheap players out there. You'd think that this time the game could be played right, but you eventually run into people that still figure out the cheapest crap to do. Another problem is the horrible lag that you get with some players. You join a guy with 63 ping and you still end up with 0.5 second slow responsiveness..

I HATE it when they steal the ball on the inbounds pass.

A lot of things.

As qballer mentioned, a lot of people like to continually harass your inbounds passing. It just gets to the point where its annoying and ridiculous.

There are people out there who create connection errors to avoid a loss.

There are people out there who can lag your game while you are free throw shooting.

There are people that find every exploit of gameplay, such as abusing tip ins, spinning more then tasmanian devil to get under the basket for a layup, the list goes on and on.

I have not played the game enough online to see, but I'm sure there are plenty of cheesers out there. A lot of the problems with the game are caused by the gam itself(not being able to slow game speed, fatigue being off, etc). But I'm sure there are plenty out there. There are game tournaments all over the world. A lot of these top players ain't really got no skills. They're not just so great, but they just know the tricks a lil better than everyone else.

correction: you can't change settings on RATED games. if you play non-rated, you can change the settings to whatever you want.

the people who win on EASO are the ones who learn how to screw the system the best. well, most of them. i'm sure there really are some who are good.

Game Tactics

Postby DTNTER2003 on Wed Dec 15, 2004 10:46 pm

Well, I like to consider myself as a player with REAL skills. I know all the cheap tricks, but i do as do is done. I play a straight man defense, rarely go for inbounds steals, I do everything the hard way. Unless I play a cheap player, then it is whatever. The mechanics are there and can be abused, it is up to the players to use the honor system and play fair. there are a lot that do play straight up, but the ones with the great records exploit the system and deem it "thinking" (LOL). But that is the way of the world, whatever it takes to be on top.

D is the church baller, you got game no doubt my man and you know i play straight up D.
i've beaten you on more than one occasion and i have never cheated.
i hate that inbound steal more than anybody and i got fed up with EASO like 2 weeks before live 2005 was released.
i hear now at easo they have a no fatigue setting and all star on default for there pro play games this year so its basically whoever has the best lineup on the floor will win.
thas super weak and no fun yo,im gonna stick to playin all the real league ballers on my icq list.

I was going to lend a friend of mine my NBA 2k5 for his NBA Live 2005, guess not. This year's BBall games are a disappointment.

Just to let you guys know a little about NBA 2k5...
NBA 2k5 has leagues that no-one ever plays their games in.
NBA 2k5 has cheesers who inbound the ball all the way down the court or to a player underneath the basket for a easy 2 point shot
Too many people play NBA 2k5 on the difficult level PRO. Sega should of just left Superstar and Hall of Fame for online play. Rookie and Pro are a joke because how easy it is to make shots. Hardley anyone ever plays Superstar
The Hall Of Fame level is all about shooting in the inside, yet alot of people play HOF
Very few people know how to make unstoppable alley-oops with the Suns.
The Mavs are the cheesiest team because you can get Dirk, Bradely and that new 7'5 guy in the same time and score a million times in the inside.
Some players can make unstoppable 3pointers with Dirk and Peja
Double teaming is way overated. Once you get doubled teamed you get surrounded and you are forced to pass the ball which is a easy steal.

Thats about it

I guess I am not even going to try NBA Live 2005.

i play online as well and i dont think its all that bad. Just lock up your games and wait for the right ones to play. Ive been there long enough to know whos righteous and whos not. Also like the one guy said. If they do it 2 u then do it back. Lets not make EASO sound worse than it really is....not saying its perfect....but its not awful
