Black courts

Postby jmmontoro on Mon Dec 06, 2004 8:23 am

I have black courts on every game i play, i have a SiS 741 64 MB. It can't be a graphic card problem if the courts are missing!!!!!!!!

Maybe the courts files, try to see if some files are missing or not.
Oh, maybe your detail settings, I don't know...

most likely driver problem, or details. try turning down some details. maybe, not likely, something went wrong with installing the court files. try reinstalling the game if all else fails.
if it's an on board graphics chip, try updating mobo firmware too.

Seems to be a video card issue since you both are using SIS brand video cards or onboard chips. I would first check that you have updated drivers and firmware and also be sure that it is supported by EA for NBA Live 2005. If not then you are probably out of luck :( Also be sure that the video card supports the version of DirectX that you are using. Some cards act funny with DirectX 9.0c

thats ur video card

the court was black and i couldnt get the lighting effects to work either until i got a new video card, now everything is fine
if the driver update doesnt work u should purchase a new video card

Instead of buying a new video card, just get OLD drivers for ur video card. Cause i also had the same problem.... but with a diff video card.

Black court issue

I also use a SIS 650 64 MB for my laptop. Have the same black court problem. Any of you guys solve the problem? If so, what did you guys do?

Emailed tech support already, haven't heard from them yet.

I'm pretty sure there's nothing you can do guys. I have a SIS 650gx onboard setup and had black courts. Just got a radeon 9550 and things are fine.

Guess your right, got an email from EA tech support confirming that the SIS video onboard chipset is not enough to be able to run NBA 2005. Oh well...
