There's a way...?

A question!

In a dynasty, there's a way, by DBF editing, to trade players of other teams, and it appear in the "NBA News" section?

For example, in my Indiana Dynasty, i want to trade Darrell Armstrong, of New Orleans, to Dallas for Dan Dickau and a 2ª round pick, as happened in the last days.

Please help me!

I'm not sure if it's possible to edit the NBA News file without causing problems, but you can certainly trade players through DBF editing.

Basically, all you have to do is:

1. Switch their TEAM and SALARYTEAM values
2. Make sure they have a unique ROSTERPOS value that does not clash with anyone else on the same team.

Is this?

I don't understand!
Correct me if i'm wrong.

For example, I go to Darrell Armstrong. In TEAM i write DAL (in 3 letters?)
and in SALARYTEAM i write the salary he has in NOH.

and in Dan Dickau, I write NOH in TEAM and in SALARYTEAM his salary in DAL.

Is this way?

It should be "NO" for New Orleans.

In my DBF editor instead of the team names I think it has the numbers so I would need a little help with which team is with which numbers.

As it happens, I just updated the DBF Editing Guides today -> NBA Live 2005 @ NLSC.

Just a correction from before: these days the field is CASH_TEAM, not SALARYTEAM. From NBA Live 2000 to NBA Live 2004, it was called SALARYTEAM. Sorry for the mixup.
