Unofficial NLSC Dynasty Of The Month Award Nominations!

What's the logic for just picking 1 dynasty? Besides easier to add the votes? I say we pick/vote for 3 dynasties?

Sorry, but I personally can't vote for just one while alienating 2 or 3 other dynasties that I really like also. Even though people won't admit to it, these opinions and votes matter. So why alienate the other dynatsies. By picking three of them-it will keep more people motivated to take there dynasty to a higher level-in which case will increase the dynasties quality. More of a motivation tool. As you guys can already tell, there has been a big jump of dynasty quality from just last years to this years. Nice idea in concept but there has to be room for other people to shine. You guys will still be able to calculate a "winner" but atleast other people will know if there dynasties were nominated? Everyone's dynasties are subjective--so it'd be weird to vote for just 1. I like different aspects in people's dynasties.

Agreed, because it really shows who dynasties you are really enjoying. If you pick one, it makes it seem that the other person doesn't really like your dynasty or it's not giving people with other dynasties recognition. If we had 3 choices and like first choice gets 10 pts, 2nd choice 5 and 3rd choice 2 then it would be a good idea. Then we can have a 1st place winner for the month, 2nd place and 3rd place after adding up all the votes. Someone above said something like this, but I forgot.

Honestly, the 10pt, 5 pt, 2 pt thing is too complicated. Whoever has the most votes win. There will be a winner (if that's the real purpose of this thing). Refer to the Unofficial Dynasty of the Year Awards: you got to pick three. It's mathmatical--so it will work. Just vote for 3? It's simple. I don't wanna disrespect these awards becaue I feel it is important. But the manner it's being constructed isn't going to be healthy nor positive for our ever growing "dynasty" forum. You'll find more and more people not being motivated to update becasue they didn't get a vote. But even though a person got 2 votes and came in like 10th place--atleast that person is given a goal and he know's atleast he has an audience. It will "hopefully" motivate that person to maybe update more or change something--or shake things up. This is suppose to help right? I just read you wanted people to PM you, but this is too important and the community needs to see another side to this argument.

I have no interior motives, I could care less if I win or lose ot tie. I'm secure enough to know that people are reading and enjoying my dynasty and that's what motivates me. I've helped some dynatsies here with art and ideas for there own dynasties--so I feel that I'm a fair opinion on this matter.

hmm, let me try and put in a nickel

so what if you have like a 1,2,3 thing and somebody doesn't even get in the top 3 in nobody's voting? will that make the person who didn't get voted for feel bad after putting work into their dynasty? but if you get response like you said, you know people enjoy your dynasty either way. so it's hard to say because if we do have a 1,2,3 voting system, then i dont know if someone would get mad because they didnt get any votes at all, or maybe its kind of good to do a 1 vote system because its like going to an award show they would call out who won the award, but not what place the other nominees came in. we could like have a list of dynasties to choose from, like 10-15 dynasties that people look at and then vote from that category.

I see, but with 3 votes there is 2 more chances that a different dynasty will be picked. When there is competition, there will always be a chance that someone's feelings will get hurt but atleast they will have 2 more chances to get voted in.

Regardless of the outcome, it's up to DonatelloForPres. But if he decides to do the 1 vote--Guess who will open up another award allowing users to vote for 3 Dynasties?

It'll be like the Academy Awards and the MTV Movie Awards or something like that?

I totally agree, although with having these type of awards there are always gonna be people who feel hurt etc, since they may not get a vote.

agreed- there are an awful lot of dynasties on the board. next month, we'll each get three votes. i like it

just a straight vote, 10/5/2 would get too complicated.

lets have a revote...I guess we can start voting again from December, that 3 vote system will be good cause its hard to single out just 1 dynasty.
