Shot control...USER vs.CPU

Postby jaredsox on Thu Dec 02, 2004 10:00 pm

I mostly play simulation and just watch the games [CPU vs. CPU] Which mode should I have the shot control checked on. I thought User control used the players ratings to determine the outcome. I am not quite sure what CPU control does.

In short, I have done a lot of work with the player ratings and want that work to reflect the outcome.

Take care,
Jay

I'm not sure but in my opinion when you use CPU shot control, the outcome depends solely on the rating of that player, no matter how you release the ball.

On the other hand, when you use User shot control, the outcome depends on both the rating and how you release the ball. So, you better have a perfect timing even with a high rated player or you will miss the shot.

If you want your new ratings to have the biggest effect, then you better set the shot control on CPU, so that the outcome depends only on the rating. However, if you usually watch games CPU Vs CPU I don't think there is a difference between the 2 shot controls.

I too prefer User control these days. I'd rather miss by my own poor shooting, rather than the CPU conveniently deciding that my game winning shot has absolutely no chance of going in.
