weekly ranking

Postby Andre on Tue Nov 30, 2004 10:41 am

ok.....I'm playing a dynasty with Memphis..I had a tough november and I fell down to 30th in the weekly ranking for several consecutive weeks.

Now my record has improved a lot but I'm stuck at the 30th position every week..no matter how I perform. Toronto has my same record (15-20) and they are 18th.......why am I 30th??

Is this a BUG???? :?

To help you out, here are the last 10 team in the ranking. Now, How can I be the last one????

21 CLIP 14-18 1 LOST
22 UTAH 13-22 4 LOST
23 GOLDEN STATE 11-23 1 LOST
24 ORLANDO 11-21 1 LOST
25 SEATTLE 13-19 1 LOST
26 CLEVELAND 11-21 2 LOST
27 CHARLOTTE 9-21 1 LOST
28 PHILADELPHIA 11-21 1 LOST
29 CHICAGO 11-20 1 LOST
30 MEMPHIS 15-20 4 WON

As you can see I got more wins than all the other ones, and I also got fewer loss than at least 6 other teams. I'm also the only team on a winning streak.

I don't think there's a bug as I've seen my team go up and down depending on the weekly performance; unless it's a problem similar to the Overtime bug in NBA Live 2001 and 2002.

I thought that too, but last week I had 4 wins in a row (that's why I put the streak for each team in my other post)...so I should have gone up in the ranking....

If it has something to do my spot in the division, well I'm last...so it might be..but still there are other teams in other divisions that are last, have a worse record and are on a losing streak. So, it doesn't make sense.

Now I'm 16-20, I'll try to reach 50% by winning the next 4 games, if I'm still 30th.....that means it is a bug. I'll let you know.

Alright, I didn't have to reach 50% to move up...I'm 18-20 and I just moved up by 4 spots to the 26th position.

I'm still a waaaaay behind other teams with my same record or even a worse one. I think there is something wrong with all the power ranking system but at least there is no bug, I mean you are not stuck to the 30th position once you get there, as it seemed at first.

I think it depends on how you are gonna be seeded in your Conference not just based on the record. If y'nah mean.
