I played the Greatest NBA Game Ever, Just NOW.

Sat Nov 06, 2004 2:06 pm

Amazing! First of all a few weeks ago I played Kings v. Lakers(Me) and went to Double OT which was my FIRST Ever Double OT in history.

But today...Maaaaaaaaaaannnn.

I dropped the Spurs with the Lakers, 112-97 in Triple Overtime, 5 Minute Quarters and Kobe dropped 56! Holy fuck, 56! In 5 Minutes in Three Overtimes...and Chris Mihm average a Triple Double.

I swear I never meant to get the ball to Kobe that much. But late in the 4th, I had no choice, I had to rely on Kobe cause I knew he was clutch.

So I put down 3 Straight Points to Tie it to Overtime, WITH Kobe himself. He just rose up in the 4th and started shooting 3's and Stealing like so many balls I couldn't count. This was insane! Best part was, It was in DYNASTY. I think I was playing on Superstar too.

Sounds like an exciting game indeed. I've only ever gone to double OT in all my time playing the NBA Live series. Sounds like you picked up a hard earned win. (Y)

I'm not trying to hijack the thread or anything, but I just came from (and was about to post about) a CRAZY game I just played online!!!!!!!!!!!!! KOBE IS KING!

It was Min @ Lakers (me). I played with this guy 2 times already, and this 3rd game was "for all the marbles". First game I beat him good, second I blew him out completely, but this game was CLOSE. I was one time down 8 points in the 3rd, and I thought I would lose. I was just playing basketball, but he was killing me with 3 pointers even though I was in his face, and he was killing me 1on1 with Garnett even though I tried to double him amap. So eventually I was down 8. Well that made me think hmm, why not go to number 8? Anyways, Kobe and Odom especially were helping me score, and Kobe was STEALING AND STEALING, and he also had ONE BREAKAWAY BLOCK!!!!! By 4th quarter I was down by 10. Kobe was missing his shots, and I also didn't get my foul calls. I fought hard, didn't give up, and I was trailing by ONE point!! So I went to number 8. Last possession. I was doubled, I drove through the lane, I did a pump fake, 3 guys went up. I then went up and let them fall on me, and as Kobe tried to adjust to make the shot, there was no call, and HE MISSED THE SHOT!!! I tried a tip in, but Mihm missed, and I fouled immediately. There were 4.3 seconds left on the clock. My opponent made both free throws and I was down 3. Then the unbelievable happened. I did a game 2 on Minnesota!! I inbounded to atkins, who threw a crosscourt pass to kobe at the 3 point line. I was down low, then, fadeaway over Sprewell..

SCORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was so happy, he didn't get a shot off in time and we went to OVERTIME BABY!

In the beginning of OT, he stole my tip, and drained a 3 right in atkins face. Then I was scoring buckets, and we traded baskets, so it was up 1, down 1, up 1, etc etc. Then one possession I was down 1, and I gave it to number 8. I was at the corner. I drove baseline, fake, garnett comes over to help and is way up in the air. I try to draw the foul by shooting. NO CALL. BUT I MAKE THE SHOT! GO KOBE! My opponent gets to the other end of the court. KOBE STEALS THE BALL behind Garnett, JUST LIKE MJ STRIPPED MALONE! I SWEAR IT LOOKED EXACTLY THE SAME! Kobe was playing point, threw a lead pass to Odom, SLAM DUNK! LISTEN TO THIS CROWD!!! Then my opponent scored, then fouled me, and it was over by then.. I WON!

My best game ever was for 2003. I was playing an exhibition with a friend. We player locked two players on the Miami Heat: I was Caron Butler, he was Eddie Jones. We played the Lakers for a challenge. Down three with 2-3 seconds left I called a timeout. I told him 'don't push anything and I'll win it.' I passed it inbounds to the point. Then - since I was on player lock - I moved to the three-point line past my defender and right in fron of another, pressed pass, and shot. Swish. OT, we won in one OT by about 4.

My best game was the in the finals in my dynasty (2005). All-star With Cyanides 10 minutes settings, I use 12 minutes but the scores and such seem to work fine. The game happened last night just before i went to sleep.

Game 6. Knicks(me) vs San Antonio with SA leading 3-2. Duncan goes apeshits and has 32 at halftime, the spurs are up by 16 at the break. Third quarter I got really focused, kept chipping away, found myself trailing by 6 going into the fourth. This is when the game when from good to classic. the first 3 minutes it was all spurs, they hopped back up to 13... I was cursing and about to throw my controller. But Low and behold, Allan houston, who had been absolutely silent all game, roars to life down the stretch, I decide to go small and have Marbury, Crawford, and Houston at the 1,2,3 spots. I closed the lead to 4 with 3 and a half to play. Meanwhile SA has funneled EVERYTHING through Duncan, but since hes straddled with foul trouble he tends to be more careful around the rim and didnt contest as much. From here on out it was like defensive heaven, the blocks really werent a factor, and it was just good, clean, fun, basketball. Nazr mohammed came up Huge with a rejection of Ginobili with triggered a fast break slam for crawford to tie the game with about a minute left. My palms are starting to sweat, I even went and got a glass of water from the kitchen! 1 minute left make my move or or lose the title on my home floor... DRAMA!!! San antonio takes the ball out, and I apply full court pressure with marbury on parker. Parker passes the ball upcourt to ginobili, but its deflected my crawford who doved to get to it... Swear to god it was like watching ncaa tourney game or something, he passes the ball to marbury and I take time out with 30 something seconds left. after the time out, I inbounded to crawford, and held it with him to about 10 on the shot clock, then i made the dribble drive into the lane, took the hopstep and made the pass to a WIDE OPEN houston for three... BANG! Crowds going nuts! Im going nuts! My college roomate who had come in halfway through the 4th and watched me play, HE WENT NUTS!!!theres still 9 ticks on the clock, and the spurs inbounded, Parker races straight up the floor, and I was so busy celebrating that i didnt really pay attention, and he fires the pass to bruce bowen, who has years to set up for the shot, I rushed out with Houston to contest, but the balls in the air already, and I watch helplessly as it... CLANGS OFF THE RIM!!! Duncan was there for the Offensive board, but doesnt have enough time to do anything with it. Game Over, series tied, and Allan Houston earned his 90 million dollar paycheck. Simmed game 7, won by 17. guess the momentum carried them over the top or something. Marbury gets series MVP, 24ppg, 5 rpg, and 9 apg.

As much as I knock the flaws of this game, I will admit that it captures the spirit and style of the nba like none other, ESPN couldnt touch this is they tried. Not to say EA couldnt learn a few things from them, but, you get the point.

My best game came back in 2001 while using the Nuggets. McDyess, Posey and Nick Van Exel were trying to do good in Denver.I was playing away at Portland when i fell down by 28 points after a great offensive show by the jailblazers (and some cpu cheating!) till i found out just how good of a shooter Posey was, he went crazy from downtown hitting 9 of 11 three pointer in the second half to pull off an amazing OT win.

That's nothing during my dynasty I went into 3 OT's

Sun Nov 07, 2004 9:13 am

My best game was with NBA live 2000 (don't have 2005 yet, never had 2004) with the new york knicks.

I played a regular season game against boston and trailed by 10-15 points for three quarters... then i came back in the fourth thanks to Allan Houston (20 points in second half, with a bunch of mid-range jumpers), down three with 4 seconds left, after getting a defensive rebond i quickly pass the ball to Houston of course, rushed down court and release three point shot that went at the buzzer !

Then in overtime i trailed by two with just two seconds to play , inbounded at mid-court to houston again, no time to do anything except release a forcing trey over two celtics players (i mean the two guys really went for the block !)... and at the buzzer.................YESSSS !
oh god that was so sweeeeet !!

None of you guys come close to what I did. I dropped 56 with Kobe. He was idle up until the 4th Quarter.

Sun Nov 07, 2004 9:56 am

I have got to triple overtime several times during my live life. lol, i just remembered when i played a game in live 96 and i only shot with denis rodman and he scored 108 points, that was funny.

I just came from an amazing dunk contest. Here's the contestants:

Pierce
Lebron
Kobe (me)
Wade

All star, 1 replace per attempt, 2 rounds, 2 dunks.

In the first round, pierce got something in the 30's. Lebron got a 50, I got something in the 40's, and Wade got a 50. When the second dunk came, Pierce got a 50, Lebron got something in the 40's. I needed to beat a 40 to get second place. I tried to do a dunk that I wouldn't need later on, but would get me past 40. I tried to do LBJ sig dunk, and I ended up with a 40. Then Wade went, and he got like a 30. So then I was like "damn, I got 3rd place" but then Lebron had to go again for a tiebraker, and I was like WTF? So anyways, he got in the 40's, and then the 2nd guy in the tiebraker was ME! I got a 50, and it turned out that Pierce and me were in the final round. So the first dunk of the final round went to me. I tried a 360 between the legs and I BLEW IT! So I took my replacement again, and tried it again, because I know that that dunk is easy as pie for me.

I BLEW IT AGAIN!!!!!!! ON MY REPLACEMENT!

I was like NO OMG I LOST! I got a 22 for my first dunk. Then Pierce went. He destroyed me with a 50. But I didn't give up hope. I gave it my all, and did a thru the legs twice for a 50. So now all Pierce had to do was beat 22. He tried to do an off the camera elbow hang but he stuffed it and took his replacement. So now this time, he went for the statue of liberty, and BAM!

HE BLEW THE DUNK!!!!!!!!! HE GOT A 21 AND I WON BY ONE POINT! BY SHEER LUCK! WOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!
