Signed, hopefully we can get EA's attention.

All I want is the feature to save stats in online play.

I don't have an account on nbalive.org, so I'm thinking we should make a petition here too for NLSC members.

PLayer Lock Fix

Postby ignatu on Fri Nov 05, 2004 2:14 pm

What I'd like to see fixed is in player lock, the computer seems to play very lazy on both offense and defense.

If I let it play computer v computer, my team is much more aggressive on offense and on defense.

If I take a player locked, defense lets guys get wide open, and sometimes won't rotate if I go double team someone. Also on offense, they usually let the shot clock run nearly to the end, sometimes it just expires without a shot.

If the game is an all star game PC v PC, the players are very aggressive with guards running inside and passing the ball back out to open players. If it's a regular PC v PC game, they at least pass it around, work for open shots, and the inside men don't just get the ball and do one on one moves. When I'm locked on a player, if an inside man gets the ball he does one on one moves and 80% of the time it's a turnover, blocked shot or weak shot attempt.

Please support your fellow NBA Live Ballers by signing the petition at the URL below. All you have to do is sign.. We have "access" to producers at EA and EA Sports directly and we need to show them how big of an error this is.

To: EA Sports
With the recent release of EA Sports NBA LIVE 2005 for the PC, a change was made in the ability to save team and player stat logs from games played online. The removal of this feature stifles many online NBA LIVE Leagues that have been in operation for many years.

NBA LIVE has a huge and rabid fan base worldwide, with a large number of players taking part in the dozens and dozens of home-brew leagues from all over the globe. Some leagues are small in stature while other carry 150+ players. The audience that the removal of this feature affects is fairly large, and is in fact, one of the games largest supporting fan bases both past present and (hopefully) future.

We are writing this letter to ask EA Sports to please enable the ability, via a software patch, to allow player and team stats to be saved after an online, Direct IP Connect game is completed, like it has been for many years previous, so that these leagues and this devoted and verbal fan base can continue to strive and survive as it has for nearly a decade…

Sincerely,

The Undersigned
