56k KILLER----players.dbf problem

ok so i created a new roster save file. then i copied the players.dbf file from my dynasty into the new save file- so i could play with my team outside of my dynasty. it worked (like it always did in 2004), but with an interesting side effect.

and my created player doesn't look like he should- it like reverted to a generic model or something. my guy wasn't bald, etc.
just what in the hell happened, and how do i fix it/prevent it from happening?

#1- thanks for being as unhelpful as possible

#2- your signature is the size of texas, don't we still have rules about that?

#3- i have my detail settings on low for playing online to prevent lag- my "crappy" computer is a 2.6ghz processor, 1gig ram, 80gig HD, with an intel extreme 64mb video card, so no it's not crappy

#4- if anyone actually knows how to help, i'd appreciate it.
