Has someone found out where to change the length of rookie contracts?
In the game, a first round draft-pick will automatically gets a 4-year-contract. I want to add a little bit more realistic and change it to 3-years, cause in real life the 4th year is an option year!
I think 2nd rounders will get 2 years, but in real life most get 1 year deals.
I can't find a salary.ini like in 2004, so where are these informations now??

I don't believe that information is stored in any dbf or ini files. You can of course edit players themselves by editing values in players.dbf.

Yeah I know, but that is not my problem! My problem are rookies created in the game after the first season!!

You should be able to edit them as normal once they've been drafted and are in the league, but as far as I can tell there's no way to change the contract lengths so that the game will always assign first round picks with 3 years deals.

There isnt much of a reason to change it as most teams will usually pick up the 4th yr option on their young guys.

Yeah, but they don't always do! Look at Kareem Rush or Dajuan Wagner for example.
