Something I never understand

Tue Nov 02, 2004 9:30 am

It feels like it's always been the case in Live games that my team is never ready to run a play before 15-17 seconds left on the clock. The opposing D is there right away but my guys lazily trot down the court. Honestly, if I want to get a real play going, with all the flaws in the playcalling mechanism, I need those seconds! "Isolation" means GTF out of the way dang it, and I only need to call it to set my own pick and roll play b/c the spacing on the pick and roll play in the game is horrible.

Anyway... it's annoying. Amusing random play of the day today? Little Jeff McInnis (sp?) dropping in a hook shot from 8' over my C and PF. Whatever, man, whatever!

Oh yeah? The other day Earl Boykins blocked Shawn Bradley's hookshot :P

Seriously though, sometimes the CPU AI is not very smart about getting back on D. They sometimes play without urgency.

What I think happened and this is just speculation here....EA programmed the stupid "electric slide" animation as players run up the floor to make the space more open for fast breaks. All the players on offense and defense do not run they "electric slide" at half court it is just terrible programming. It was a problem last year and is even worse this year.
