I don't know about the game... Still waiting on the PC version... But the cap has raised in the dynasty mode before and I don't see why it shouldn't raise now.

However, it goes up like 100k, 200k per year, so it won't bring any big relieves to teams over the cap, but like after 15 year's of playing the dynasty the cap is 2 million higher than earlier...

Don't count on the raise to get you under the cap... You gotta make some deals... Trade some guys that are on the last year of their contract to your team so their salaries will be off of your cap during the next off-season. It's probably the best way to do it...

The thing I hate the most is that you can't see the length of the players contracts, it just bugs the h*ll outta me. Esp if your trying to get under the cap. How are you suppose to see which players have 1 year contracts left so you can get them off the books for next year errr*

wtf, are you serious? it has to show the contract length. if it dont that would be a HUGE downer for the dynasty mode. would make it shitty imo.

It shows contract length...you have to look under GM Statements...or something like that.

thats good. but is it also true that the cap never increases? it should, i mean it did in old lives and it does in real life.

Opposing teams you check the upcoming free agents list.....

it should say while you are tradeing. does it not tell you the contract length while trading? this used to be a problem in 2003 i believe when the comp would offer you a trade and you only got to see the overall rating and nothing else.

It shows the contract length under GM statements and in the trade area, you can toggle with the X button (I think) and it tells you how much they make and the amount of years they have left...I am pretty sure. But definitely, the info is available in GM statements.

Yeah you can see the salary and years left on the trade screen. Hit help to see which button because I'm not entirely sure which one it was.

I'm probably wrong here, but i thought they increased the cap each year by a little to allow for inflation?? Since its a game theres not going to be any inflation (although they could implement it but it wud be pointless).

Anyway i'm probably wrong, but it seemed like the logical reason.

if the players keep demanding more money as the years go by and the cap does not increase then we will see tons of players left to rot in free agency.

the salary cap is the most frustrating thing about nba games, cause u never get a larger cap as the game goes, and alot of the times there are high quality free agents that you cant get just because theres no cap room and in nba live the cpu doesnt try to make trades to ease up for cap relife like some other games do (im not sayin the name but it starts with a E)....on a side note id wish those nba store codes would leak already, this time last year i had more then half of em tested and posted on this site...
