^^^if you make a significant change in one slider the overalls will rise. so say for example, tj ford is a 60, and his speed is only 70, if you move his speed to 84, his overall will then be around 62.

Thats what I know, but I want to change for example Nowitzki from 85 to 90 and do it just with one slider and don't have to increase speed, strength and all other ratings ~5 points individually.

i cannot believe that jameer nelson( the best PG in college basketball last year) is rated at a 52 
not even bron and carmello were rated this bad last year when they were rookies(even thou they were the 2 best ones.....but so is jameer....i have no idea y he went # 20 in the draft...prolly his height

For comparison, his overall is the same as Willie Green.
His 65 speed is slower than Aaron McKie, Corliss Williamson, Kenny Thomas, and Willie Green.

Possibly, but I'm still not convinced those ratings are from the finished product.

sometimes a player does not transition well from college to the nba. maybe thats why jameer's rateing is so low. just cause you were the best in college does not mean you will be god in the nba. there have been plenty of great college players who were complete busts in the nba. maybe they predict him to be one.

Jameer was the highest rated rookie seen so far in ESPN, he got a 75:

eapn's ratings are vastly different from live's though. a 75 in espn is like a 62-68 in live.

I agree. But why would he become slow? The NBA has a combine for rookies, and he was one of the quickest players.

That's what I'm saying, Josh Childressi s the fastest one of the ones I looked at
....Ben Gordon, Devin Harris, JR Smith etc all magically lost their quickness in the NBA transition

oh i fully agree that some stats would not change. like speed for instance and free throw shooting, however alot would. stuff like fg and 3pt would drop since the defense is better. rebounds would probably drop. stuff like that.

Actually things that remain constant from the NBA to pro's are offensive rebounding, for the most part defensive rebounding, and shot blocking, that's for big men who rebound through skill not just because they're tall in college [so it excludes Christian Laettner etc].
Shooting doesn't get worse, the player just can't get their shot off as easily, but shooting ratings should drop about 10. In a College game, Ben Gordon or Devin Harris would have 80+ shooting ratings, so you'd expect something in the 70's, but nope, that's not how it is
