In the first dunking contest video, those were some nice dunks. In the Miami-Lakers video, the arena was full!

So I guess there won't be glitches with like 10,000 people in the arena

It's always great to see my franchise the Dallas Mavericks face a team that I am still deciding on using the Sacramento Kings.
I have to say that the gameplay in this video looks a lot more smoother than the other ones I have saw, like the Spurs vs Rockets game.
It's just too bad that the Mavericks let go of Nash. They are really not much of a stacked team as they were past seasons ago. It's good to see Stackhouse on the starting lineup, etc.
Also, It looks like EA has included a shooting style from Dirk. As you can see when the shot-clock was whinding down, Dirk forced up the shot, and it looked pretty neat.
The court is a lot bigger, the gameplay is a lot smoother... I can't wait.

After watching the other videos, the first one was better IMO with the Lakers and Heat. I'm glad they added the mid-range game into the game, but the only thing I saw the players shoot was midrange jumpshots except for a few times

I think both of the teams were computer though so it really didn't make a difference. On the scoreboard, you can see that it kind of looks like ESPN's scoreboards.

It's a wrap my friends.
That spin-off move and the dunk finish that Shaq did in the Heat vs Lakers clip made my day.
I also love how EA brought back that classic "wire-cam" back which was in the 97-98 versions.
Release the game now!

Those videos looked great! That Shaq post move was awesome. I just wish the crowd wasn't the same through out the whole game...

One thing I really like is the post-up animation. The players don't push back a player like they weren't even there like in 2004. Like when Webber and Nowitzki were posting eachother up you can see they struggle and use up energy.
The net animations look amazing, when Shaq dunked and the net went up through the rim it looked really nice.
I havn't been able to watch any videos on IGN but I have yet to see if they changed the hookshot. Because that ugly one in '04 wasn't even a hookshot.
So far the game looks really good and I can't wait to play it.

Is anyone upset atbout seeing Duncan shoot and it HIT the back of the backboard... The CPU court awareness skills need to be improved.. and isnt that out of bounds?
ive seen it happen over 5 times now in the videos released on so and ign.
not a huge gripe but those two points could determine the win for a CPU opponent.

In Rockets vs Spurs game, (1st play vid that came out while ago) i remember seeing a player catching a ball in the air and runs as he catches the ball in fast breaks.
Did EA took the animation out?

I think that's one of the new ones, I bet that's still in.

Well, the mid-range game was clearly a focus for EA this time around, and I'm glad. The one big gameplay thing I noticed was that the computer did too many isolation type plays. There weren't many assists, at all. The players didn't play very well as a team, just a lot of individual moves. It might just be the clips they happened to show, though.
Some of the players' play was out of character. Shaq attempted a 12 foot face up jumper, that never happens. And I've never seen Peja post up before (though he should develop a post up game, given his size over other SFs in the league). Hopefully next year they'll work more on identifying and fine tuning playing styles and getting the players to move without the ball and pass better.
Overall, it looks better that the Spurs-Rockets game on IGN earlier. Hopefully, some of the bugs evident in that game were fixed (offensive goaltending being the big one). Commentary is slightly improved over last year, but I still like 2K5's commentary more. The graphics are MUCH better compared to last year, particularly the arenas and crowds. It looks like they've added more camera angles too, which is great. Can't wait for the full depth reviews next week.
Oh yeah, and the game too.

.....more ridiculous one hand passing.....
and kenny thomas taking the ball up on the break?????
then the push back effect......causes backcourt violations....
i think they gotta redo the freestyle system for 2006....the dribbles and passing....maybe add an option where u can choose ur type of pass (eg. bounce pass/lob/chest)
i also noticed the turn around post move always goes right......u know, the mj turnaround fadeway move.... i hope they set it so u can turn left too..
things i liked:
-defense animations....when dirk slapped the ball out of cwebb's hands
-block animations seemed more realistic..
-mid-range game

Saw that too, but me knowing that KT was a SF before, and actually has decent handles, it didn't bother me.
The on hand passing sucks though, but I already knew it was stil there from previous vids.
I liked the double fake and turnaround Webber did in the post, that was nice.

I saw KT play in college and HS.. he is pureply a post game player. with barely any handles.
it doesnt bother me much. he probably adapted to the SF role and the ability to handle the ball more than a CENTER would in college

I liked the Sixers video. I don't think it was intentional, but the Sixers did all the annoying little things that the Sixers do. For example, they let Robinson handle the ball on the perimeter. It took longer than normal for him to turn it over, though. McKie and Robinson backed their man down, like they do in real life, and Iverson faced his defender. That looked good.

My thoughts exactly. This was my favorite new addition, figures that EA would remove it before I actually got to play with it. Also the skating effect seems
HORRIBLE in these videos. Doesn't really matter though, because I will still play the crap out of this game. Oh and I liked the camera angle in the Sac/Dal game, it really showed off the new graphics. Can't wait...
