Champs, it looks to me like that is a dual dunk contest similar to the home run and pitching challenges on MVP baseball

IMO, there's a lot to observe in these images. Did you notice the new, more realistic referee? And I noticed all of the things that you can adjust in the Create-A-Player. Also, we get a look at the Dunk Showdown for the first time. Pretty good pix

i think that pic is the freestyle challenge mode on the menu screens...
u either go head to head on dunk contest or 3 point.....ooo...
if they made it for 4 players that would be fun....
