Strategy Guide is coming 9/28

im thinking of going to eb games in the mall and checking it out to see if they have tips on the dunk contest.what do you think?? do you think it may spoil the game for me. i mean it only 7 days to look forward to after looking at it.

I think it'd be fun to look at the strat. guide just to see what kind of stuff they put in it to make a whole book out of it. They must list what certain plays work the best with each team or something. Maybe there are so many changes to dynasty mode that it takes a whole guide to explain it .

LOL. That post was outrageous. But yes, I agree with cocobee, reading up on Live while taking a dump is easily worth $15.

i hate all strat guides for 2 reasons.

1. they ruin the game. no matter what game it is haveing a strat guide ruins the experience. this holds doublely true for rpgs and games like myst.

2. anything you can find in the strat guide can be found on the net within days of its release. infact the info in the strat guide can never be updated with the patches and so forth but a website can so screw strat guides.

Just read it in the store. If theres a bunch of info I need, I can just take a pic (or pics) with my phone .

I'm ok with looking at strategy guides for a game like this. This game has no story, it's just can you win or not. I don't read strat guides for an RPG for example, for there is no point in playing the game since it will be boring, and usually when I'm stuck, it doesn't take long to figure out what to do.



I remember using strat guides before. I used one for Tomb Raider II. After awhile of using it, one day I lost it, and I just played Tomb Raider without the strat guide. Not only did I find that it WASN'T that hard, I found it was much more enjoyable, because it was less pausing and reading and more action and suspense.

I agree that strat guides can ruin some games, but a guide seems fine for NBA Live. Although I'm pretty sure it wouldn't actually improve my skills, it might just be fun to read.

i want to check the guide out for tips on especialy the dunk contest, dynasty in general, and the 3 point contest.
