nbalive.org???

Does anyone know what's up with the site. It's been gone for like a freakin month.

for one, wrong section, for 2, if you have a problem with the site having bandwidth problems, go fuck yourself. Donate money to them, then you have a right to complain.

hey zaniac07. nbalive.org is actually back.. well sort of. The site is up but it seems that our host has some DNS issues. This means that some people can access nbalive.org but others can't. This also seems to change depending on which DNS server is up.. So you may be able to access the site during different times of the day. Hopefully the DNS issues will be resolved soon. In the meantime I am sure the friendly people here at NLSC can help you out.

I can only speak for myself, but I don't make it a habit to insult nbalive.org or people who seek help on the NLSC Forum. In fact if I have seen an announcement on nbalive.org about bandwidth problems and someone has posted a question on the NLSC, in the past I have offered an honest answer without a smirk or snide remark.

I'm sure you weren't accusing me in particular, I just thought I'd make it clear that I'm not interested in trading snide insults or petty remarks or anything like that.

Ok... anyway zaniac07 or anyone else interested.. you can fix the DNS by editing the "hosts" file in your operating system. XP and Windows 2000 have this i am not sure about 98 though. It usually resides in "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc".

Edit the file and under "127.0.0.1 localhost" add the following:

38.118.142.107 forums.nbalive.org
38.118.142.107 nbalive.org
38.118.142.107 www.nbalive.org
38.118.142.107 patches.nbalive.org
38.118.142.107 nteams.nbalive.org
38.118.142.107 street.nbalive.org
38.118.142.107 euroleague.nbalive.org
______________________________________________

This will "hard code" the correct IP address for the site so it will show correctly.

Hopefully the DNS issue will be resolved in the next few days.

Ok. I think we have one for n00bs so they can post they`re questions there. Well yes, they were down but i THINK this is happened many times.

after reading this earlier i'm surprised it hasnt been moved to the correct section (off topic?) after 2 mods replied to it

anyways, back on topic.... We're hoping the server issue will be resolved soon, but be sure to try what david said if your having problems...

once the DNS issue is fixed nbalive.org will never have downtime or downloads taken down again, so you wont have to deal with threads like this again.

Since it's not really specific to one section, I basically consider any NBA Live X General Issues an appropriate place to ask questions about nbalive.org when you guys have had technical problems in the past. Sounds like you're set though with a new server though, my compliments on the new design too.

yah general issues is a fine spot, for some reason i thought i was in 2004 anouncements

the site seems to be fully working again, i havent had problems getting to any pages, so if anything like downloads arent working we'd appreciate it everyone helps us out by reporting broken links....

the links to nteams rosters seems to be down. at least for me. the site comes up not found. help?
