Be the Ref?

I don't know if this would be even fun...but I thought I might bring it up for discussion....
How about a "Be the Ref" mode, where are the ref, and you have to make the calls in a game. you could look at replays and use certain keys to decide which call to make...you could have a "Ref Rating" that shows how much of the time you were correct, etc.....and be able to eject players, coaches, etc....
I'm being kind of vague with this idea, I can't really get the idea out.
It sounds boring, but maybe with some more ideas, it could be fun? I dunno *shrug*...What do you guys think?

i don't really recall seeing any other than the FT ref...and they didn't even do much. and the cutscenes when they "call" a buzzerbeater.

They do appear along the baseline during gameplay.
I think it would be an interesting mode, certainly unique to a basketball sim, but personally I'd find it a little boring. I'd rather be controlling the action than officiating it.

i find this actually to be fun, cause the refs when i play don't call crap. but i would try to test it ot at least.

Ref Mode and if you are a good ref you'll be sent to the NBA Finals to ref in them. But if you miss a ton of calls you get invited to ref less and less important games.

its a interesting idea... but it seems like one of those ideas taht sounds cool for the first 30 seconds of playing it...
