3.0 WIP TBA

EA's AIACT + Blocking fixed 2.0 brings a little more to the table than 1.0. I still have speedys blocking animations but now i also have his dribbling animations and the rest is all ea's animations.The patch enhances the gameplay by a alot and makes the dribbling feel more realistic. Enjoy! :)

Do not credit me. Credit Speedy. And to fix the problem even further I was able to find Playmakers Live 2005 sliders as a bonus (strongly reccomend these).

Delete all three files of the files in your settings folder so you wont encounter any crash issues but here are the sliders in case youre not able to use the settings.dat file for any reason.

Credits: Speedy, Playmakers

Playoff style updated sliders

Set PGs,SGs,SFs Def pressure to low for spacing.

Camera: Press Box (auto zoom off and 2 clicks back. This will help you see the whole court and the fasbreaks will look better) Note: I use the 2k camera patch.

To fix the block issue even further lower all pg, sg, sf's block rating to 0. and all C's and Pf's block rating on a scale of 8-40. Be smart Shaq is not the best shot blocker but i would set him 40 most people arent going to dunk on him. Dwight Howard is a definite 40. A michael Beasley would be an 8. Josh Smith 40 (I switched him to PF/SF).

did a quick edit of the February rosters (formula was rating^0.5 x 10 - 60 then if negative 0)

and I gotta say, after 1 game, I like it. This was pretty enjoyable.

I gotta fix my controller configs but I liked what I saw.

Yes it is the best. ive never known how to use the batch file utility though. How do I use it?

no idea

i just create a new spreadsheet, copy out of the DBFs what I need to edit, add a formula to it, drag to get everything edited, then copy it back it

Okay here are some plays to fix the gameplay even further and help some teams run more of an uptempo style (Make sure Each team doesn use Isolation). This will help every team play different and go to their weapons. Set these plays for the opponent not your team. Credit: Playmakers

anyone know how to set "auto zoom" off all the time?
everytime i play games i have to pause to the menu to set auto zoom off
it's quite annoying :(

If saving your settings doesn't do it, there's no other fix. To be honest I lose track of which games in the series have the problem of the auto zoom re-enabling itself but it's a recurring issue in the last gen releases.

I released a new patch guys! I love the things you can do with this game! The patch should also be up on NLSC in a couple of days.

I'm still maintaining a roster for NBA Live 2005 (as well as 06 through 08). The latest update that's available is accurate through the end of the 2010 season, the next update will be out at some point during the offseason with all the new rookies, etc. I can't say exactly when at this time.

You can just copy them from the disc. That's quicker and easier than reinstalling.

Kind of not satisfied with my last release. Too easy to score in the paint. There will be a new one on the way and I will also try to bring a roster along with this one. Ive already been working on it this summer. Be patient though with school, work, friends (aye just because I patch doesnt mean I dont have a life), and other things going on right now it will just be very difficult to find time for a release. But promise there will be one and maybe others. There will be rating changes done to each player on EACH TEAM so that doesnt include the Free agents too unless they are signed to a team. I will look to edit some of the legends too. I figured the gameplay is better off making it better the old fashioned way which is thru ratings and not patches.
