Restoring original NBA ball

Sun Jan 03, 2010 3:33 am

Hi there.
Recently I installed Beijing 2008 mod which I really enjoyed. Finally, I decided to get back to playing with NBA teams, not national teams. I noticed that I still have the Beijing 2008 Molten ball. I thought to myself "there must the edited xcommon.viv in NBA 2005 folder" so I overwrote xcommon.viv with its out-of-box counterpart but Molten ball is still there. So I decided to look into sgsm folder and I noticed 'ball.fsh' file and I thought that deleting this would help...but it didn't. Molten ball is STILL in my game and I don't know why.
How can I restore the original NBA ball? There's probably still a file or two which need erasing or overwriting but I don't know what are those.

P.S. It's probably one of those simplistic questions which only newbies ask...I'm a newbie, so please forgive me :P

hy, It is difficult to say where the error happened. I share with you my Game-Ball. I hope you can use it and everything is ok?

Meanwhile I removed all the non generic files from my sgsm folder and I have my good old ball back :) Unfortunately, I still don't know which file was responsible for the ball in the game.
Thanks for the ball, it looks better than mine.

EDIT: Well, the topic may be closed now as I put my ball.fsh file in the main sgsm folder and it overwrote my previous ball. Previously I put it in sgsm/common folder and it didn't work. Now I know what to do to have new balls in game.
