why has some players hair (like balkman's) a kind of transparent texture?

it doesn't look like it should.

you can hardly see the hair

somebody has the same problem?

somebody has balkman with hair that can be seen?

I had the same problem how I solved this issue? I will tell you. I took B_hair.ebo from Ethan Thomas, changed all files to a custom ones (in my roster all files for Balkman are named "bidulas"), then I changed PLAYERPKG in players.dbf to BIDULAS, and that was it. From this moment on, I have Balkman with his long hair. So do the same, as I did.

The problem, in case anyone is wondering, is that hair files from NBA Live 07 and 08 aren't 100% compatible with NBA Live 2005 and NBA Live 06.

Sure thing Andrew...I forgot to tell you volvagia, that I also had to edit Balkman's portrait with HexEditor. And renamed it to plyrprts~BIDULAS.big...

Well, it can be done for sure, but someone has to be a great specialist in .ebo editing. But this is not so simple. I don't know anyone, who can do it.

In the meantime, taking a suitable NBA Live 2005 hair .ebo file wherever possible certainly isn't a bad idea.

i've taken etan thomas's but my balkman seems to have milky face and absolutely black skin around his body

Did you follow all of the instructions Marek posted? If all else fails, perhaps Marek could share his converted files with you.

If you followed my instructions volvagia, your Balkman should look like this:




So try once again. But if you have black skin of his body, you're missing skin files for him. Look for a guy with some tatoo and similar colour skin, extract it (from plyrtat.viv) with EAGE, rename the file like Balkman's files.

i have extracted all "etthoma" files with eage, renamed to "rebalkm" and put in sgsm and he remains with short hair

Rename all files for Balkman and then put the same file name in PLAYERPKG in players. dbf. I had to do the same. Do not stand with files named "rebalkm".

i've done it. i have a pink head with long hair, but when i put the "fsh" file on the sgsm, all is gone

Try extracting the bhed on that fsh file then reimport it . I'm not sure what's the reason but I think it's the bhed with an alpha layer that does that glitch (the one with a transparent hair).
