About foul frequency

Thu Mar 20, 2008 7:35 am

What slider should I change if there are too many freethrows?

I can decrease shooting foul frequency but what happens in this case? If there is no foul called due to the changed slider does it result in a block or in a shot?

What I want is a higher number of shot attempts without a foul. Often 75% of my shots take me to the FT line. I want my players to score or miss but not go to the line almost every shot attempt with a defender next to me.

I believe there were many of those, like charge/layup foul frequency, reach-in foul frequency etc; i believe you should decrease all those sliders for better gameplay

More often than not, if the mid-air collision foul slider is low there'll be contact and the offensive player will take a heavily contested shot that the human user tends to miss and the CPU players seem to have a much better chance of making.

If you want to reduce the number of free throws you should reduce that slider though, along with the shooting foul slider. If you find that both teams are getting into the penalty a lot, you might want to turn down the reach-in foul slider a bit too.

Thanks. Reach-in fouls are just perfect. It`s only the high number of fouls during shooting...both user and cpu-team get too many freethrows.

I have the same problem as you. I get to the ft line way too much for my liking. However, if I move the shooting foul slider lower, the cpu will never get to the ft line. I cannot seem to find a good balance. I have all foul sliders maxed out except for shooting, which is at 65.
