patches wont work for me!! help?

yea the title says it all. i downloaded many of the addons here but they dont work. my 06-07 roster (current addon) wont work for my nba live 2005 game, no changes visible, ets. plz help! (p.s. could be becuase i deleted some files but i reinstalled the game after)

Rosters must be loaded from the Load/Save menu after they are installed.

how do you install the 1984/1985 patch without an .exe file?
