.asf codec

Sun Oct 02, 2005 4:29 am

If this is illegal, please delete it, I'm not to sure whether it is or not.

Does anyone know where to get codecs or a decoder to read .asf files? I want to convert the EA Sports .asf files to mp3 or wma format, but when I try, I get this error:
Cannot play back the file: the format is not supported

The help says this:
This message is shown when the appropriate decoder in use by the media file is not installed on your PC. For example Windows Media Player reports a similar message if you try to open a OGG Vorbis file and the appropriate Vorbis decoder is not present. To fix this problem you will need to find out the correct decoder required for the source file.

I think you can reverse it, but not sure, haven't tried in a while.
Either way, a regular codec won't work since it's coded by EA.

Yeah, that program doesn't reverse :(

And if it's coded by EA, I guess I'm out of luck :x

I guess so. Although there's still a chance that some regular decoder works... Try googeling it if you really want them.
