Trading Draft Picks

Wed Sep 21, 2005 2:46 am

OK, i'll try, its not an exact science....

1. No team is "guaruntee'd" to want to trade their pick in a particular season.

2. The best deals you can possibly do for draft picks are OFFERED BY THE CPU (got what ended up being the No2 pick for a 53 rated center!)

3. Dont leave it too late: I find teams are more willing to deal around 15th Jan to 5th Feb, may be wrong, but after that they tend to hold onto their picks.

4. Sometimes the CPU wont ACCEPT picks, but will trade theres. (If a team has 0 roster space and you want to even up the deal you tend to throw in your second round pick or something, but ive tested the theory and taken out the second round pick from my side of the deal and traded 2 of my guys for 2 of their guys and their 1st rnd pick and it went through.)

5. Give up players the other team has MAX interest in. If the interest bar isnt maxed out for any of your players, just the player/position that draws the MOST interest will do.

Hope that helps!
