Backing Someone Down

Wed May 11, 2005 8:41 am

Sometimes when I go to back someone down, with less strength than my guy, I can't. I don't know why. I have Kendrick Perkins on my team off the bench (98 strength) and he can't back people down with like 80 strength, also Al Harington has like a strength in the 60's and he can hold his own against Al Jefferson for me (94 strength, I think). I was wondering if there was another factor in it, like stamina or something, although I don't think that would be the reason because even when I have more stamina I can't back them down. If anyone knows the reasoning behind this it would be real nice to know.

Thanks

I'm also confused by this, I thought it was only the strength rating that decided who won back-downs... :|

Well Harrington vs Jefferson is a wash, Jefferson is 82 strength, Harrington is a 75 strength.

But Perkinds should be able to back down anyone, i agree.

I'm not sure, with Curry (91 strength) i can back down virtually everybody except the bigger centers like Shaq and Traylor.

Vigor and defense maybe add to strenght to avoid backing down...

Agreed, I'm pretty sure defensive awareness also plays a role.
