Shot Control by human question...

Sat Apr 16, 2005 12:39 pm

Now I switched to human shot control, how come that I never nailed a 20 footer jump shot with Yao Ming or Juwan Howard? My T-mac is shooting like 85% from the field(pretty much all jump shots)

Probably cuz their big guys who arent the best of shooters....

When the shot control is set to Human, you have to rely on your own timing as well as player ratings. The timing is a bit different for the "big man" shooting style.

How is it different for the big man?

Sat Apr 16, 2005 2:26 pm

It's a slightly different release, so the timing is a bit different.

If you release too early, they jump backwards! You need to hold it down a bit longer for big guys than the guards (Y)

I think that's a little far for either of them, at least in Live according to their stats, i haven't watched the Rockets much IRL.

20 footer is between the college & NBA 3 pointer lines. Lots of big men can still hit that shot in the NBA, tho. I wouldn't be surprised if Yao can hit that as well.

Yeh you would think that, even Bogut can hit 3's

Again, all about the release of the shot... Different shooting styles demand different releases on shots...

This is what is so difficult to get as it is different from any other Live game we've had this far... Some are better for your touch than others...

Even when using shot control 'Human' it still puts some focus on the skills of the player in question so you probably couldn't hit the three with Shaq consistently even with 'human controlled' shots. Shaq is a robot, you all knew that, right???
