Can you turn computer trades off?

Thu Apr 14, 2005 6:09 pm

I know this may instantly seem silly if the idea is to do a Dynasty but I think it would be a good option to have if it isn't on the game?

I'd like to go through a Dynasty and use the proper teams for 2004/2005 so if there's the option to turn trades off this would be good. Once I get through year 1 I'd turn them back on.

Maybe a slider for computer trade frequency would be a good thing to add to 2006 unless someone tells me there already is an option?

Yes the option is there: it's called CPU Initiated Trades. Turn these off and the CPU teams will not offer you any deals or deal amongst themselves.

I recall seeing this in season mode. It didn't seem to appear on Dynasty. Are you certain trades can be turned off in Dynasty mode?

I'm also about to start this Dynasty. Would you suggest any changes to your sliders? I took them from here about a month ago and I must admit they were instantly very helpful.

Thanks

I'm sure the option is still there in Dynasty Mode, though I could be mistaken.

For sliders, I'd check out the stickied thread over in General Issues. I'll also plug my own sliders, though I'll be posting an updated set soon.

Thanks.

Trades can't be turned off in Dynasty mode. The computer controlled teams also rearrange their roster to start the best 5 players. This should be something EA change for 2006. I'm avoiding Dynasty as I want to play 2004-2005 correctly. Bit of a pain.
