I don't understand the ratings in Live '05

Fri Mar 04, 2005 12:03 pm

the ratings in '05 are way lower than in '03 and '00, I can't figure them out anymore...what are some benchmark ratings for different guys?

ie what's the slowest a PG should be?

the ratings are way lower because they now go from 0-99 instead of the old 50-99

So 50 now is basically like 75 before?

and 0 is like 50? But does anyone really have ratings down to 0-10 for, say, speed? would the slowest centers be down there?

so maybe the bare minimum for speed/quickness/dribbling/passing for a point guard would be around 50?

Moved to 2005 General Issues. The thread is about the actual game rather than it is of patching.

And yea, they range from 0-99 rather then 50-99 like it was in previous years.
It is like you said, the really slow players, often centers, have a very low speed-rating down there not far away from 0. It all works gradually on how they are, and offers more detailed rating-attributes.

Some players still have too high a speed rating and why don't they let you change the shooting range rating?

I don't think any player has speed in the 0-10 range.

Some stats have players in the 0-10, for instance some point guards have a 0 or 5 dunking rating, those that cannot dunk at all even unguarded. Some big men have a 0 3-point rating.

But for really basic stats like Speed or Field Goal, you don't see anything below 40 really.
