nba live crashing and wierd settings

ok, i go on the computer this morning and get on nba live.. so far so good... then, after the startup ben wallace screen(legobron), the whole game is dark, with no music.. i check the settings, and all preferences are set to 0. Gameplay settings are also all set to 0! detail settings are all at the lowest possible, and brightness is set to 0 (thats why it was dark)! next, go to the load/save screen.. then, the game CRASHES... i get back on nba live and this time, i make a new dynasty. it works, with one problem.. all the setting are set to the lowest (playoff format=1-1-1-1... sim quarter length= 2 mins) i changed the settings myself, and saved. i then started my dynasty. i fix all the settings (gameplay, detial, preferences, rules) then play two games. i save the dynasty (doesnt crash this time), then close Live. after this, i went to my basketball game. when i got back home, i loaded nba live again.. all the settings were all at the lowest again! and the load/save screen crashes!

does anybody know how to fix this? its gonna really get annoying having to fix every setting everytime i load the game. and even worse, i cant save anything because of the load/save screen crashing. anyone know how to fix this? i tried savin settings...

reinstall the game and download the official update from easports.com

i did exactly what you said after i typed my last post... but it still doesnt work..

delete your nba live 2005 folder in "my documents" when you uninstall the games. settings are saved in there. so uninstall, delete map and then reinstall.

i did that too.. im sorry.. i shouldve just added that to what i did in my original post.. sry about that...

thats very strange..........could it bea virus is messing your programs up. but i dont know it can mess a nba live game up. i have my microsoft word showing wierd shits before when my computer got a virus. check pls ok?

no... i just cleaned my pc as in i just cleaned all the viruses up.. i still have the problem.. i was just saying that i didnt have a problem with viruses as you were saying..

I'm just curious just how did you reinstall everything? Did you reinstall windows from w/in windows?

nope i just uninstalled NBALIVE 2005. remove all folders from the program files/my documents having link to 2005. then reinstall the game again

Oh ok, I suggest you wipe out your pc as in reinstall every single file and program in there. Back up your stuff though if you want to do this.

i know. around in our country we have to strive hard for our PC machines. when i pimp up my car i experienced having to eat many sardines and noodles too plus "Isaw" for lunch wonder when will we ever breathe a sigh of relief around here?

Well the fact that we're able to pimp up cars and build decent specs for our PCs is a sign of relief... at least for us. Hmmm.... it's been four days now and no response, I guess he already indeed figured out the prob.
