Help from those using a Saitek p880

Tue Jan 18, 2005 4:00 pm

I'm using the above contoller and have been quite satisfied with all the other EAsports games - MVP baseball, Madden, etc. However, with NBA Live I've hit a problem.

Is there a way to re-configure the "time-out" and the "intentional foul" buttons? I've poured over the configure controller screens and can't locate them anywhere.

I think my left analog stick is the "time-out" but that creates a problem in that sometimes when I go to make a quick move I press down and bingo -I've called an unwanted time-out. (In fact, the first time I played I got called for 8 technicals because I was out of time-outs by the 3rd Quarter and I was still calling time-out inadvertantly! I can certainly work on a lighter touch but is there no way to re-configure the time-out to another button?

I've still yet to figure what button or combination of buttons is the intentional fouls.

Can anyone enlighten and help me? I'm feeling really spastic!!

on defense pressing the left stick button calls an intentional foul and on offense it calls a timeout. You should have some software for the controller to reconfigure the hardware or maybe even disable those buttons.

Pressing the right stick in a game shouldn't do anything, except in practice, 1 on 1, and the dunk contest where it will do a self alley-oop off the backboard.
