Retiring jerseys

Why do my retired jersey disappear after i start a new year. I am in my 7th year with the Lakers and retired Shaquille O'Neals Jersey in the 2010 off-season but now its not there. Same thing with all my trophys

Yeah it's happened to me once, but I think it has to do with saving settings in the load/save menu or saving the "my NBA LIve" stuff... still not sure which one

The bottom right hand corner in the load/save menu. Theres a button called "save settings"

can you retire the jersey as soon as the player retires or do u have to wait a few seasons to retire it???

Just a question, a lil off topic. Did you have shaq on your lakers, or did the lakers do it for his years of service from 97-2004?

You will get a message in your PDA when someone retires and it will ask you if you want to retire their jersey.

Just a question, a lil off topic. Did you have shaq on your lakers, or did the lakers do it for his years of service from 97-2004?
I signed him as a free agent in the 2008-09 offseason

Yeah, and I believe it retires it right away.
