An idea about dynasties

I frequent a Madden/NCAA message board and they have been doing this one thing for a while with NCAA Dynasty Reports.

They have a Hall Of Fame.

What they do is they pick the best players and have a vote to see if they are HOF worthy. If they are inducted then they have their own special "plack" (sorry I have no idea how to spell that word )

I would just like to know if any one is interested before I go into details.

I'm not sure about that but it's spelled plaque.

Alright, how bout this idea:

I was talking to DOntelloForPres and we thought of doing a dynasty of the month were people nominate the best dynasty. You can't nominate yourself though. I am thinking a week before the end of each month we will start nominating and nominating will go on for a week. Then voting will go on for a week. Then the winner will go in my sig and you will be made a special banner for you to put in your sig.

I just think it would shake things up. It is kind of boring just coming to the forum and checking out the same old things. I am just throwing out ideas. Feel free to add your own.

the winner's link will also go in my signature, and if you submit your dynasty for dynasty of the month, you consent to putting the winning link in your signature, as well. huskies will be designing a banner for the winner to 'hang' in their sig, and their name will be put into the history books as dynasty of the month.

Hey, that is a good idea, maybe we could get a stickied thread were the winners of each month would go.

those who will be interested in joining the dynasty league, let us know by responding to this post, with a link to your thread.

by submitting your dynasty to be considered monthly, you agree to post a link to the winning dynasty in your forum signature.

If people nominate it, then you can be in it, but you have to accept the nomination, and when you accept you agree to put the winners link in your sig.

Good idea, but I don't want this to be a "whose got a bigger dick contest". I'm all for it but I wouldn't want people to get discouraged from posting a dynasty here because they'd be intimidated by what other people are putting out there.--on the other hand it may encourage more creative thought so we might see the levels of dynasties go up.

--BTW, just because I don't have your dynasty in my sig--I still support it. I just don't like the clutter. But I've shown everyone love here.

Actually now that I think about it, I will still open up the nominations thread but I will not make a nomination because most dynasties haven't started.

i will definitely join as a voter since i know my dyansty will not win coz there's a lot of good dynasty out there. some have good write-ups, some with great graphics and some have a very original idea.

though voting will be hard since i enjoy everyone's dynasty. yes i read all of it though i dont comment much.

Back to the idea. Did you get it from MaddenMania? I'm a member of those boards as well and I see them doing that. I think it's an alright idea, we could always try it and see how it turns out.

Yeah, I did get the HOF idea from MaddenMania. But now that I think about it I don't think we should do a HOF because Careers are sometimes like 10-12 years long and I don't think many people will get that far. Lol.
