List of what EA has taken out this year

I just want to list out some of the 2005's missing elements (which are good elements)
that have been in the previous NBA Live (or at least in 2004).
No matter it's a bug or what.

General Issues

• user profiles
  as a result, the "user stats" has also been taken out !
  ________________
• saving stats
  cannot save a single game's stats. A big problem for all online leagues !!!
  ________________
• roster
  the game will reset to the default roster every time you start NBA Live 2005.
  ________________
• Load / Save
  there are only 3 columns in a saved record -- "name", "description", "date".
  where are the other info. ?
  for example, previously in a dynasty record, we would saw the W/L and the date in the schedule.
  This time, we could only see a word "Dynasty" in the description, that's it.
  ________________
• Court in "1 on 1" --- [irrelevant]
  I am not 100% sure, but seems there is only 1 court to play on (we have 3 courts to choose in 2003)

• Configure Controller
  EA sticks the offense & defense buttons together in 2004 & 2005. I really want to customize my buttons !

  how can I delete (or rename) a controller profile ?
  I can see the "save" & "save as" buttons but no "delete" button.

• Keyboard / Gamepad Usage
  this has been taken out for years, we cannot use the "ESC" nor "ENTER" nor any button in the gamepad to navigate in the menu.
  How come a same userinterface in console version be changed in the PC version. We can only use our mouse to do the jobs. It's very inconvenient especially during the pause in game.

  is it just me? The cursor will show in the introduction movie!
  and the game use the system cursor instead of a cursor made by EA, EA is tooooo lazy! Just give us the cursor like the previous one is fine!

Dynasty Issues

• Trading Players
  the "Reset" button is gone.
  The fastest way to reset the opponet players is switching to another team and switching back again.
  Come on EA, why took that out??

• League Leaders
  No symbol indicating who are my players.
  Hard to find the names in the list.
  ________________

In-game Issues

• Sort Button
  "Sort button" in the players stats disappears. No further explain is needed. Everyone should knows what I am talking about.
  ________________
• Playbook
  1) playbook will not be stored (even it's in dynasty mode),
  have to reset it everytime.
  2) no clipboard showing the strategies. Damn, I am not good at basketball, I have to recall how the strategies run.

• Camera
  zoom level & auto zoom will not be stored. Very very very annoying!!!
  ________________
• Ingame Save
  As per the previous version...

• The Crowd
  The are all faced off, horrible @_@
  ________________

That's all I could find out so far.
there might be some more which I don't know.

Some of the elements are minor, some are major.
"Hope" EA will solve it by providing us a patch or something else.
yes, it's just a hope ...

But don't get me wrong, I still love this game.
The gameplay is wonderful, the new features are impressive.

These two are very annoing...

Nah, I have Urban and Gym to play on... Beach has been taken out I guess

i can add a few that really bug me

1. not being able to see player stats while subbing them in/out. i used to always check minute usage during a substitution but now i have to bounce back and forth between player stats and subs.

2. dont see playing rateings in the compare players screen, only thier stats. worthless if you ask me.

3.dont see contract length in the trade player screen. this one really sucks since trading for expiring contracts is a big help.

yea the ones that really piss me off are that you can't sort your stats

There's no PPG , when you check stats, the fuck? am I supposed to divide it every time my self ?

When making trades, you cant see the contract length... so now I have to jump to managers statement just to see how long a players contract is...

I'm working on a gameplay review, and gut has mentioned all the issues that's already in my review, except I don't mind the system cursor since it's smaller and easy to use. I feel the big EA cursor is too slow to move around and not as easy to use as the system cursor. It's like dialing phone numbers with or without mittens.

Regarding this... r u playing on PC or PS2? if in case ur using PS2.. just press O.. but for PC... this we need answers.... cant figure it out.

it migth just be me, but i cant find 'em, exept for the scouting reports you get via your pda...

roster
the game will reset to the default roster every time you start NBA Live 2005.

the origdb folder is found in your main live 05 folder(the one in program files)/database/origdb

from there you can paste the players.dbf file of your current roster so that everytime you start the game, your roster will automatically show up

A couple more missing elements to add

• Select Controller
  I cannot use the navigation of the gamepads (or keyboard) to select Team (or player) in the select controller page.
  I hate doing all the stuff by mouse this year.
  In addition, I have 4 gamepads at home and I sometimes mix up the controllers (especially the PS gamepads).
  I don't want to waste my time here for trail & find which is my gamepad.

• Instant Replay
  First off, I'm glad that my gamepad can navigate & rotate the camera this year.
  (did I missed this one in the previous version or it's really a new stuff?)
  However, what's going on with the "Camera" button?
  Once you press the button, it captures the "ENTIRE SCREEN" including the CONTROL PANEL.
  What the hell I need the control panel in my screenshots!!??
  Even though I minimize the tool bar, the little "restore window" button still appears in the screenshots.
  Very annoying!!
