If you can shoot, you can play.....right guys??

Alright, from what Ive experienced so far in the game, its nice to be fast and have a quick step to get to the basket. But its all coming down to the shooters!! Those guys that can consistently hit that mid range J are what keep you flowing in the game.
Im having a hard time playing with guys like Lebron James or Vince Carter, guys that have high ratings, but its like they cant hit shiz, its go to the hoop or pass it off to a shooter. So Im looking for the guys that have lower ratings, but can come up big and hit that mid range J.
Maybe its just me, how have you guys been working the strategy?? Who are the guys that can shoot, and who cant? Im talking big guys, like McGrady, Iverson, Garnett, Duncan, Lebron, etc.
Do they hit the jumpers for you???

Mcgrady and Garnett hardly never miss for me

Peja, Nowitzki, Redd, Allan Houston, Ray Allen! And to clarify: you asked for guys with lower ratings who can shoot, but at the same time you asked for superstars. Superstars don't have low ratings ;) To name players with lower ratings that can shoot: Hamilton (somebody fix his shooting ratings), Brian Cardinal, Reggie Miller, Fred Hoiberg, Piatkowski and Jon Barry, to name some. If you want to go old school, then Bird and Jordan's the way to go :)

^ yeah, the guys with the good 3-point ratings and are superstars have a high sucess rate at the mid-range. of course you got to set picks and move the ball around to the open man. try using your big men in the post to draw your shooters defender and then dish it back for an open look. if your post guy starts heating up. the computer will have tendancy to double up on him and leave the passer open for an open shot or a chance to cutt to the basket for a layup/dunk. also if your always shooting from the same spots or doing the same things the computer sort of catches on so switch it up a little...

Mid-range shooters can tear you apart in this game. I was playing against the Nets and RJ was killing me with the pull-up J.

I agree, it seems like shooters are a valuable commidity in Live 2005. Before I was able to have a "bunch of athletes" playing all the positions and concentrating on defense. Now, you have to put guys out there who can knock down shots or prepare to get roasted!

i can only speak for Seattle cuz i haven't played much with any other team. But Seattle has NO problem hitting jumpers. it's the post game and defence that kills me.
Ray Allen, Rashard Lewis, Radmanovic = money money and money.
Of course, everyone has their bad nights.

Vince Carter? Vince is a decent 3 point shooter and has a nice mid range game. I dont know what your talking about, Vince is a bad shooter...
