1. the resolution on ps2 blows nutz big time.

2. consoles are not as good as the pc version. (i remember playing last year on the ps2 before the pc version came out and its so hard to control players etc)

3. graphics and EVERYTHING is always better on the pc. just wait and see

4. anyways the gameplay is just weird. theres something about the consoles that makes u feel drained. cant explain it.

5. i got the basic dunks down but the ball tosses etc are HARD. coulnt pull one off. yeah um..... JUST GET THE PC VERSION. ALL I CAN SAY. i feel sorry for console users.

Actually, if there was a Live 2006 for PS3 and a Live 2006 for PC, the PC will still be better because newer graphic cards come out all the time.

dude graphic cards are released every few month while a new console comes out every couple of years, the pc's graphics will alwayz be better, for example before the xbox was released ppl said it would be amazing (graphic wise) but when it came out it wasnt that great with pc there are new technologies all the time while the consoles staya behind, in terms of gameplay i like pc cuz it has more options u can change stuff (rosters, grpahics, i h8 the soundtrack so mp3s, etc..)
anyhow the ps/xbox are more EZ2USE so that there only plus imho
but ill prefer pc anyday (Well maybe except when it locks up and crashes)
but not everything is prefect/ :!:

<sigh> And it will solve world hunger too. Remember what they said about the PS2? I don't exactly but there was a lot of the same hype and I'm not impressed this time either. Well, at least until I see it.

I agree on the PC video card lifetime -- it's ridiculous. I can live with holding my card for a couple of years. I will not pay $400 every year for a new card; I don't even pay $200 every two years!

Anyhow, on my average TV, the graphics are OK. I think the lighting is a tad overdone, but it may just be a trick of the eye because there's soooo many more polys for the faces than the bodies (it looks weird to me). Anyhow, I can imagine that the game will look gorgeous on a top-of-the-line video card at high resolution.

I upgrade my system every 5 years or so with the absolute best things I can get. I've had a comp with a riva tnt2, 500 something processor, and other junk since Live 99. Now I'm getting an x800 so It will be sweet for years to come.

I was debating if I should get the PC or PS2 version. I went ahead and got the PS2 version because I did not feel like waiting an entire month to play the game. Anyhow, the PC version does have much cleaner looking graphics over consoles. One thing you can do if you are a console user is hook your PS2 to your TV via S-cable. That makes a BIG difference in graphic quality.

Are you telling me that PC hardware will not continue to evolve as well?

Mon Oct 04, 2004 3:36 am

PC graphics > console graphics, forever. Common sense and history say so. By the time PS3 is released it's best graphics will be on par with PC's best graphics for about 8-12 months, and then PC will widen the gap again, getting bigger each year until PS4 comes out.

On another issue, PS2 version ( I havent played XBOX) of Live 2005 runs extremely choppy. I mean like 20-25 fps choppy. Maybe they tried to satisfy the graphic whores. But on ASW everything is fine, close to 60fps. I'm waiting on the PC version to see if it runs any better. They can definate utilize the extra memory on graphics cards to do better buffering and rendering. Most cards have 64-256 MB memory, which is a hell of a lot more than PS2 or XBOX.

I have it for XBOX and i have no graphics problem what so ever. Graphics are great, so is the gameplay. I'm going to get it for PC, because i wanna try to patch.

Mon Oct 04, 2004 11:58 pm

What video card do you have?

Wed Oct 06, 2004 10:43 am

i got a crappy graphics card in my laptop. its one of those standard ones which comes with the cheaper laptops and it plays games really well. i can play games like command and conquer generals and nba live 2004 very smoothly, is there much difference between the graphics in live 2005 an the graphics in 2004 which may effect the gameplay on my computer? or do you think it may play out smoothly?

i haven't been posting on this page for a while but it seems that i was right afterall 8-) about the xbox 360 an ps3 to have smoother graphics than the pc version.
the pc always seems to catch up though, if your a pc nba liver  you should buy a console and play both
