When we added Off-Ball last year we changed the player lock functionality slightly so that CPU-controlled players on your team didn't take a shot unless you instructed them to. The reason why we did this was to make it a bit more challenging and differentiate it more from Off-Ball play, but we changed it back this year so that when you're playing with player lock your teammates will shoot if they're open.

I know al ot of people will be happy about this

We've revamped our Create Player this year. In NBA LIVE 2004 you simply picked a head for your created player. This year for NBA LIVE 2005, you will be able to create basically anybody using sliders and new morphing technology to edit any feature on your face from the protrusion of your nose to the height of your ears to the wrinkles on your face. There are literally millions of facial combinations that you could create. We've also added new accessories such as the double rubberband and customizable multicolored headbands for greater customization of your created player.

In the first article Tim talks about a button they added for self alley oops!! (Rookie game/All Star Game)
