About the commenary

Fri Jul 16, 2004 11:50 pm

Im not sure if this idea have been posted yet, but in that case you'll have to read it again :)

Now that EA have made a whole new mode of the All-star weekend, shouldn't the actuall All-star game have it's own commentary? I saw someting about Kenny Smith commenting the Slam Dunk and three point contests, but nothing about the game...

I think it would be a cool addition to have a more loose commentary (not annylizing the game as much, etc.) on the All-star game, as oppose to the regular season and playoffs...

'TNT's Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson will be on hand to provide commentary for the side events of NBA All-Star Weekend. But don't worry, Marv Albert fans. The marvelous play-by-play man and Mike Fratello still handle regular announcing duties for the primary game.'

That's a good idea, one that made the Wishlist earlier this year (so hopefully it will be a reality). It's not a huge deal as any commentary track gets old if you play the game long enough, but it would definitely add to the atmosphere of All-Star Weekend.
