My tutorial is only for AI decisions, not animations/moves. I think there is hidden information on some animation act files around the forum. I call it hidden because it's not in a tutorial thread, but in random posts/threads. You would have to do alot of searches in the forum to find them, because some are buried. Start by searching for aiact in the 2005 section, then move to the 06 section, then 07, etc. Look through the threads and see if you can find information on editing some of the files.

I would say go with Seushiro's aiact/animations. Quick, easy, and good.

The long way would be trial and error. :

well what animations do you want to take from what and merge them with what

in the aiact, there are separate files for shooting, passing and dunking. Im assuming you want to mess with those three

what exactly, spelled out, are you trying to do

look at the dunk aiact tutorial in the tutorials section and look at the aiact tutorials for programs and how to edit them

basically you need to copy over the layups from one dunk.act to the other

you mean this
For instance, let's look at any of the JOBS that have to do with dunking or layups.

Code: Select all
Dunk_layup: covered close layup (guard) 2 0 102 0 0 8 1
jeah i know it`s easy to copy but i don`t get any idea in aiact which is that layup code or dunk code which i need to paste and what i need to do with animation`s....
i`m confused.... :|

adding doesnt work well

look at the files and the tutorial, you should be able to figure out what is a dunk, tip dunk, alleyoop, layup or alleyoop layups pretty easily

I told you my tutorial is not for animations.

Here's the thing. You cannot add individual animations to the game, you just can't. You can mix aiact/animation files, though, which would be all the dunks/layups from one version, or all the shots from one version, etc.
Basically you would have to move the files from one aiact.viv, xanim.viv, and xsyms.viv to the one you want to play with. So...to move all the dunks and layups from one aiact to the other-

extract dunk.act from aiact.viv
extract xmcpdnk.orl from xanim.viv
extract xmcpdnk.ord from xsyms.viv

Import that dunk.act into your aiact.viv
Import the xmcpdnk.orl to your xanim.viv
Import the xmcpdnk.ord to your xsyms.viv

I can't tell you if that will work outright, though.

i tryed to copy just all layup codes from one dunk.act to another

You can't do that. Just because you copy some lines of text doesn't mean the game comes up with a new animation. Like I said, you can't add individual animations. That's what you are trying to do when you copy lines of text from one dunk.act to another. You can't mix them, you just can't. You cannot take some dunks from one animation file and add them to another animation file. All the dunks and layups are part of a package, so if you want a certain dunk/layup animation, you have to use the entire ord/orl file and act file along with it. You can edit the act file to change the where a dunk is performed, like turn it into an alleyoop, but you can't just take a dunk or layup and add it to another set of dunk and layups.

 didnt realize we were in the 2005 section

as pdub has said, you can't mix it like you want

I thought you were trying to take the layups from one aiact, mix it with the dunks from another aiact. I didnt know that you were trying the animation crap too.
