deleting a player from Free Agent

Postby Fluffy Taco on Mon Sep 04, 2006 4:54 pm

is it possible to remove a player from Free Agents? because i had made a created player and applied a "face" onto him and now i want to remove it from the roster and redo one. how can i remove it using the DB Commander? i already removed the lines from appearance.dbf and players.dbf and when i go into the game and load the roster, it is still there.

The best way to remove a player is to just change his TEAM and CASH_TEAM to 32 (Retired) or 38 (Referees).

I'd restore from a backup if possible as that dbf could be problematic.

Well, you'd need a backup of the file you've been working on to begin with. If you don't have one there's not much I can suggest. Once you start deleting rows in the database it usually starts to cause all kinds of problems that are impossible to fix.

It should, unless the problem lies within the roster itself.
