Question about online play w/ PS2

Sumone please answer this question for me...

For everyone that plays online with a PS2...you kno when you get on and it says downloading rosters? well after it downloads them does that mean its the current ones? like would Cleveland have Hughes?

it happens sometimes.i also have a ps2. I would download the rosters and it wouldnt have any updates, i dont know why? But then other days i play and it has all the trades. It is weird.
